Spotted Burning Rubber

Another of the world famous IIM T-shirts was recently spotted at the GatorNationals Drag Races, held a few weekends ago in Gainesville.

In case you’re a yankee reading this – that’s where real men race loud cars, real fast. Moonshine optional.

A free IIM T-shirt to the first person who correctly identifies the home state of the race car driver I was named after in the comments. An extra T-shirt if you can do it without using Google.

Cale Yarborough is from the Palmetto State or South Carolina (had to Google). Or, is this a trick and you were named after the Canadian race car driver, Roy Smith.

That’s interesting. I thought you were named after a vegetable (and your parents just didn’t know how to spell!).

You got it. The man, the myth, the grizzly bear wrestler Cale Yarborough was from South Carolina.

One new T-shirt will be headed your way…

Yes, many have wondered. If I had been named after a veggie, I think I might have made up something like the Cale Yarborough thing in first grade, just to avoid torment on the playground.

Send me an email, Joel, and I’ll send you a T-shirt just for playing, eh? caleinthekeys@gmail.com

    You, too, Jeff.
